On May 20, 2026, members of the Independent Countering Disinformation Centre (ICDC) participated in the second module of the artificial intelligence (AI) training program led by expert Denis Zacon. The session was practice-oriented and centered on using AI tools to streamline organizational work and analyse large volumes of information.
During the training, participants explored several tools and working methods directly applicable to their professional activities. Topics covered included the creation of customized AI assistants for repetitive tasks, the use of NotebookLM for analyzing legislative documents and public policies, extracting relevant information from large document sets, and developing semi-automated workflows for monitoring information of interest. Practical exercises and real-time applications were a central part of the session.
“Each session brings new information and insights, even though I have previously attended Denis’s trainings. The field of artificial intelligence is evolving extremely fast, and continuous learning is becoming essential. I appreciate that these trainings are always up to date, relevant, and based on practical exercises applied in real time,” noted one of the participants.
Another participant highlighted the importance of adapting to new technologies and integrating them into everyday work: “It is clear that this path is irreversible, and we cannot ignore the power and capabilities of artificial intelligence tools. I am glad that we have the opportunity to learn how to use them wisely so that they can later become useful assistants in translation, analysis, and reporting work.”
The training program includes three modules, with the next session scheduled for June. Through this initiative, ICDC aims to strengthen the digital competencies of its members and support the use of AI tools in countering disinformation and information analysis.
