On April 28, 2026, ICDC partners took part in a training workshop dedicated to artificial intelligence, delivered by Denis Zacon, an AI expert and consultant. The event was the first in a series of three sessions planned for the coming months.
The day’s agenda included a session focused on the use of tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity for common tasks, ranging from drafting and summarizing projects documents to translation and reporting. Participants then worked on techniques for formulating effective and reusable prompts, with the aim of building a shared library of prompts for their day-to-day activities.
The training had a practical focus, providing participants with concrete tools for integrating artificial intelligence into their activities. In this context, Lilia Zaharia from Transparency International underlined the practical relevance of these solutions for small organisations: “For an NGO, artificial intelligence tools are no longer a luxury, but almost a necessity, as they can compensate for the limited human resources and time constraints.”
She highlighted three main benefits: increased efficiency through the automation of tasks such as communication and reporting, allowing teams to focus on real impact; cost reduction in the context of limited budgets; and support for better decision-making through data analysis and the use of information in a more structured, rather than purely intuitive, way.
The growing interest in artificial intelligence shows that civil society organisations are increasingly ready to adopt new digital tools. Denis Zacon noted a more mature approach among participants: “Organisation members are already coming with concrete requests. We are seeing a clear transition: from simple curiosity to shaping a vision for integrating AI into day-to-day activities.”
The upcoming modules will further develop these skills.
