ICDC partner, Moldova School of Journalism (MSJ), one of the country’s leading institutions in professional media training, plays an essential role in supporting the development of responsible, transparent and high-quality public communication. In October 2025, MSJ launched the Strategic and Crisis Communication Course, a comprehensive program designed for communicators from local public administration, NGOs and private institutions.
Over 5 months, 31 selected participants will benefit from theoretical training, applied practice and individual mentorship.
The course is built around four core modules, delivered by renowned professionals:
Together, these modules offer participants a complete perspective on institutional communication – from strategic planning and message development to managing sensitive situations.
In addition to the modules, participants will also take part in three practical workshops focused on FIMI and disinformation, political communication, interpreting and using survey data.
The first module focused on strategic communication has already been successfully completed. Participants worked on case studies, crafted clear messages, analyzed audiences and institutional contexts, and tested tools they can apply immediately in their daily work.
Meanwhile, the mentorship sessions helped teams turn ideas into concrete campaigns, emphasizing structure, clear objectives, public relevance and measurable impact. Several campaign concepts have already taken shape, demonstrating the program’s strong practical dimension.
The course supports the development of a new generation of communicators who are better equipped to face today’s challenges: disinformation, institutional crises, increasing pressure on public communication and rising expectations for transparency.
The effects are already visible: more confident professionals, more open institutions and better-informed communities.
