Young Content Creators: What They’re Doing Now in Newsrooms

Share Post :

Between April and July, teenagers across Moldova stepped into real newsrooms — no cookie-cutter scripts, just stories that mattered to them. It started with Content Creative Camp 2025, a four-day intensive in Costești, where fifteen teens from across the country learned to shape digital stories from idea to filming to editing. Working in teams, they tried new formats, practiced with equipment, and learned how to create content that actually lands with a youth audience.

From Camp to Newsroom

After camp, theory turned into practice. Nine participants joined local newsrooms in Chișinău, Bălți, and Taraclia. Five were embedded with Youth Media Center (YMC) teams, producing in Romanian for Abraziv and in Russian for Najda4ka.

What are they working on?

Young creators are producing on-the-ground video stories—reportages, vlogs, and short explainers designed for social media. They’ve already filmed at:

  • Chișinău Zoo
  • The Botanical Garden
  • Moldova’s Bison Reserve
  • Social enterprise “Floare de Cireș”
  • A dairy farm
  • A café that brews coffee on hot sand

Every piece is conceived, filmed, and edited by the teens, with editors offering feedback—not scripts. The aim is clear, useful, honest content that speaks to their generation.
