On 9 September 2025, the Independent Countering Disinformation Centre (ICDC) held a hands-on workshop at the EU Café in Chișinău on developing AI assistants for NGOs. The session, led by trainer Denis Zacon, brought together 20 representatives of organizations active in communications, project management, fundraising, and program delivery.

Participants worked through practical exercises on prompt design, template creation, and building customized assistants for daily use. Each NGO left the workshop with a working prototype adapted to tasks such as reporting, drafting documents, and internal communication.

Key results included the creation of functional prototypes, improved skills in configuring digital tools, and identification of ways to save time in routine activities. The workshop also stressed the importance of responsible practices, including transparency, data protection, and maintaining human oversight.

Feedback was positive, with more than 80% of participants successfully testing their prototypes in real scenarios and planning to continue using them in the weeks ahead. The workshop added to ongoing efforts to strengthen the digital capacity of Moldova’s civil society, giving NGOs practical tools to improve their daily work and adapt more effectively to new challenges.
