26–27 June 2025 — The Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) hosted a two-day retreat as part of its BRIC and BRIM projects, bringing together partners for team-building, strategic reflection, and capacity development.

The event combined well-being activities with practical training to support Moldova’s resilience against disinformation. Participants engaged in collaborative sessions focused on mental well-being and stress management, followed by a hands-on workshop on AI-generated disinformation and media verification tools.

Led by AI expert Denis Zacon, the training provided insights into detecting manipulated content, using AI tools for monitoring, and responding to information threats.

Supported by the European Union and the Government of Norway, the BRIC–BRIM retreat highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration and innovation in countering disinformation and strengthening democratic resilience.
